In the floodplains of Sava river in Croatia the agriculture still remains as it was everywhere in central Europe in the medieval period. On the meadows in July chicory is blooming. Die Flussauen der Save werden von den Bauern noch heute so bewirtschaftet, wie es im Mittelalter überall in Mitteleuropa üblich war. Zu dieser traditionellen Landwirtschaft gehören auch Wiesen, auf denen die Wegwarte üppig blüht.
