Army Col. George "Vaughn" Brown, commander of the 83rd Troop Command, recently visited the 2nd Battalion, 111th Aviation Regiment (Airfield Operations Battalion) as they conducted their annual training at Camp Grayling during Operation Northern Strike, Aug. 4, Northern Strike is a two-week exercise that assesses the working knowledge of air-to-ground forces between the , Air Force and Marine units from around the country, as well as military personnel from other countries including Latvia, Great Britain, and Poland.
