JUNGLE FOWL Gallus gallus

Jungle fowl are found throughout most of northern India and the Himalayan foothills. They usually live in groups of one cock and three or four hens. They will always roost up trees at night to avoid predators. The jungle fowl is the ancestor of all domestic breeds of chicken.
