A graduate of the Capital Guardian Youth ChalleNGe Academy, still in cap and gown and laden with gear and belongings, departs the Armory after receiving his certificate, August 27th, 2021. He was among 30 cadets who graduated the program in a ceremony attended by friends, family, and distinguished military personnel. The program is a free alternative education academy for 16- to 18-year olds, supported by the District of Columbia National Guard.
