Entry door to the Historic Aptucxet trading post built by the Pilgrims for trading with the Wampanoag indians and the Dutch. It was the first private commercial enterprise in North America using local currency wampum. This launched the American Free Enterprise System, Museum repica was built in 1930 on the originally foundation built in 1627.
