Its cultivation requires careful and intel-ligent supervision, and it cannot be successfully grown except by requires at least three years for the seed to grow plants capable of pro-ducing a paying crop of flowers, and then the plant will continue to producefor four or five years longer, although it is in its prime and most productivewhen four and five years old.
