The plant now comprises six mills on the Dorchester and Milton sides of the Neponset River, containing 500,000 square feet of floor space — about eleven and one half acres. It is an interesting fact that on the spot where the industry was first started, more than a cen- tury and a quarter ago, the business has con- tinued and attained the highest development.
