Kurobe Dam, Japan
Kurobe Dam on the Kurobe River in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. The arch dam was opened in 1963 and is the tallest dam in Japan at 186 metres. Kurobe Dam supports the Kurobe No. 4 power station which generates about 1 billion kilowatt-hours annually.
