A view from inside the historic Fort of "Santa Caterina", looking towards the entrance doorway. The fort was built in 1621 by Engineer 'Alexander Massay', next to the river Arade to protect the city of Silves and Vila Nova de Portimao from Spanish pirates and the Moors.
