Also known as British Guiana, it is bordered to the east by Suriname (right), to the south and southwest by Brazil (lower left) and to the west by Venezuela (left). Most of the land is covered in forest (green). The North Atlantic Ocean is also seen at upper right and the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago is at top left.
