Social activist Medha Patkar, speaking in favour of crusader Anna Hazare's movement against corruption at Azad Maidan in Mumbai (Bombay), Maharashtra, India. Anna Hazare has been fighting corruption in govt. all his life, and at the age of 73 years, was fasting from 5th to 9th April 2011 at 'Jantar Mantar' in Delhi until the Indian govt. agreed to his demand of constituting a committee with 50% civil society participation to draft the Jan Lokpal Bill which would have the power to investigate and punish all public servants, including the prime minister. Anna Hazare was joined by activists from all over India who fasted along with him and by thousands who came to the streets and protested along with him, without any violence.
