A pair of flintlock shotguns, Southern German, ca. 1780. Browned barrels in mm calibre, one with scattered traces of corrosion. At the breeches four stamped decorative marks around a brass filled master's mark (a bunch of grapes with "RM") and numbered "1" and "2" respectively on the tangs. Flintlocks with flat lock plates. Capucine walnut half stocks with fine rocaille carving. Horn nosepieces. Smooth brass furnitures. One wooden ramrod with horn tip, the second ramrod is missing.
