Roses, carnations, gladioli, Spencer peas, val- ley and yellow marguerites sell the best. Various Notes. A fire. May 27, destroyed the house, barn, boiler room and three green- houses of Everett E. Cummings, Wo- burn, Mass. Damage is estimated at $8,000, partially covered by insurance. Mr. Cummings is one of our leading single violet specialists, following vio- lets with cucumbers, tomatoes and chrysanthemums. Budlong & Sons Co., of Auburn, B. I., will add Beauties to their list of roses for next season. For Memorial day they had specially fine Maryland, Russell, Taft, Sunburst and Fire Flame. F. E. Swett & Son, of Stoughton, had a splendid lot of Gladiolus nanus for Memorial day.
