SURREY, UK: The harvest mouse balanced between reeds using its prehensile tail. A BRITISH photographer has captured an adorable snap of Europe's smallest rodent - and it weighs as little as a two pence coin. A stunning image showed a tiny two-inch harvest mouse balancing between reeds. Another beautiful picture captured the little critter nibbling on a teasel plant. The adorable snaps were captured at the British Wildlife Centre in Surrey, UK, by photographer and wildlife conservation student Jaz Beer (23) from Bristol, UK. Jaz captured the images from just inches away using a Nikon Z7 Mirrorless digital camera. Jaz journeyed for two-and-a-half hours to photograph the tiny creatures which are listed as a Biodiversity Action Plan species and are currently protected by law due to their dwindling numbers.
