Chicken inspection. Agricultural engineer from the US Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service Âas he works on developing an automatic scanning system for inspecting chicken carcasses. Cameras, along with near-infrared and visible light scans will be positioned along the inspection line and linked to a computer, which will identify defects and disease and direct the imperfect chickens to a separate production line.
