Italian battleship "Cavour", sunk at Tarento by British planes


Italian battleship "Cavour", sunk at Tarento (Southern Italy) by British Fairey Swordfish torpedo-planes, November 11, 1940. Two other Italian ships (the "Litorio" and the "Caio Duilio") were also damaged in the attack but would be repaired and put back into service. The "Cavour" would never be repaired.
