AEGEAN SEA (Jan. 14, 2018) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Daniel Heaps and Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Ian Hood act as medical safety observers aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) during a replenishment-at-sea with fleet replenishment oiler USNS Patuxent (T-AO 201) in the Aegean Sea. Carney, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its fourth patrol in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of regional allies and partners, and national security interests in Europe.
