A sword for an SS Leader,with sword knot Single-edged blade with fullers on both sides(notched,point sharpened). Nickel-plated,knucklebow hilt with a silver-plated pommel cap. Black wooden grip with wire winding and inset SS-emblem. Silver officer's sword knot(obvious marks of wear). Black lacquered iron scabbard with silver-plated locket and pressed-on chape. Hilt and locket each bear the stamped octagonal logo of the Munich Gahr Company. Length cm.
