He was also a member ofthe Executive Commission of the General Assembly of thePresbyterian Church, and on account of his demonstratedexecutive ability he was made Executive Secretary of thisCommission. The duties of the office were so arduousand so exacting that Dr. Hubbard in 1911 resigned thepastorate of the Church in order to devote his time morefully to the appointed service.
