Business was good during last week, with plenty of mums and other season- able stock. Prices on mums have dropped somewhat. Roses are plentiful, but the demand is not so good, since mums are taking their place. Carna- tions are good at $4 per hundred. Various Notes. Toledo is just now trying to solve the transportation problem, since the Rail Light Co., which controls this system, was ousted at the last local election. This will mean a lot to the trade, as the Interurban system will bring passengers to the city limits only, leaving them to get in as best they cto. Several of the principal streets have been torn up for weeks, including some occupied by flo- rists. Mr. Feniger, of Feniger's Flower Shop, on Adams street, has been unable to park his car within a block of his store for at least one month, thereby causing lots of extra running with fu- neral work and deliveries. Metz & 3ateman have made a num- ber of improvements in their store. Earl Metz is at home with the flu. Jack Helmer reports a great deal of funeral work, which necessitated the use of an additional delivery car. Mrs. J. B. Freeman had orders for an important wedding November 8, involv- ing the use of several hundred of the largest mums, pompons, roses, colonial bouquets, wild smilax and several loads of palms. The bride's bouquet consisted of gardenias, Kaiserin roses and valley, in a shower; that of
