Hypopygium (text-fig. 39) resembles that of tinctipennis (cf. text-figs. 30 and 31), with the inner apical angles of basal parts triangularly projecting; beaked apical joints not elongate, but not very broad basally, leaf-shaped and depressed above; aedeagus with the apical part slender, just about reaching apices of inner apical angles of basal parts, with a large, lamellate ventral process on each side and pro- j ecting vertically downwards; basal strut more or less chopper-shaped. Type in the South African Museum. Length of body: about 6 mm.
