Queenborough, Kent, UK. 16th June, 2018. Queenborough Independence Day celebrates the 51st anniversary of the official handing back of Queenborough by the Dutch in 1967. The Dutch claimed Queenborough in 1667 but didn't officially hand it back to the UK until 1967. Sheppey Pirates opened the day with a display of gunfire.
