One of the participants is seen taking a rest by laying on the grass close to his relatives. The Dodentocht ("Death March") is a long-distance march of 100 kilometers organized annually in Bornem. Participants have 24 hours to finish. It began in 1970 with 65 participants and now grown into an event with over 13,000 hikers from many countries.
