For it differs from the common mode of poetry,which is, from long narration to draw short , on the contrary, the narrative is short, andthe morality arising from, it, makes the bulk of thePoem. The reason of it is, that the facts men-tioned, did naturally pour these moral reflectionson the thought of the writer. THE LIFE OF DR. YOUNG.
