An inflammation of the tendon-sheaths may be eitherof an acute or a chronic nature. If acute, it gives rise to pain andswelling along the line of the tendon-sheath, and often to a sensationof crepitation (tendo-vaginitis-crepitans). Such inflammations, bothacute and chronic, are likely to appear in those who use the handsextensively—artists, pianists, machinists, etc. The relation of the Digital branches of ul-nar artery and nerve Superficial palmar arch.
