A nimcha, Morocco/North Africa, 2nd half of the 17th century Heavy curved blade, with three grooves on both sides. Fullered back of the blade. Pseudo-European blade marks on each side. Brass quillons and knuckle-bow with fine geometric decoration. Tortoise shell grip of characteristical shape set with silver also displaying geometric decoration. The blade is slightly stained.
