Hinksey Stream, a tributary of the River Thames in Oxfordshire burst its banks affecting rail services for a 2nd time in a month


The Government has annnounced funding for a number of rail infrastructure sites affected by flooding to receive investment to better protect them in the future. One of ten sites so far announced is Hinksey Stream, a tributary of the River Thames, near Radely in Oxfordshire. A First Great Western service negotiates the flooded section at Hinksey as it forms the only hourly rail service between Oxford and Didcot Parkway on 10 February 2014.
