Japanese traditional Nagaya (Row of Houses) stand along the both side of alleyway in Tsukishima Chuo ward at Tokyo Japan. Narrow alleyway, which is arranged by potted flowers by residents in Tsukishima. Nagaya was traditional common people's house from the Edo period to the early Showa period. Nagaya is long constructions housing several small homes under the same roof. Tsukishima was originally reclaimed industrial area of Tokyo Bay. But, recently commercial facilities and high-rise apartments increase in these areas for Land readjustment and large-scale redevelopment.
