American soldiers from the 28th Infantry, 1st Division, led by Brig. Gen. Marshall, cross a bridge over the Moselle River at Wormeldauge, Luxembourg on November 30, 1918. This marked the first time American troops entered German soil during World War I. The photograph was taken on February 26, 1919, and received by Pvt. Brotherhood.
