Eiffel & Co. of Paris in 1876-77 and named after QueenMaria Pia. It crosses the ravine in a single span of 525 ft.; its totallength is 1155 ft., its height 200 ft. The lower part of the bridge isof granite, while 1428 tons of iron rods were used for the upper the bridge we have a splendid view of Oporto to the left, thecathedral and bishops palace standing out prominently. 213 M.
