A unit consists of one subject for at least five periods per week forthirty-six weeks in secondary or high school course; and four hours perweek in work of college grade. NORMAL DIPLOMA To receive the Normal Diploma the student must complete the NormalCourse of study outlined elsewhere and must have an average of 80 percent on the work pursued. Every Normal graduate is entitled to a numberone teachers certificate, good to teach in any school in the State . Most of the universities and colleges of the United States allowpractically full college credit for the work done in the standard NormalCourse. By spending two years in a normal school, a student can securea license to teach and earn money to meet the expenses of taking theremainder of a university or college course, and. at the same time, securenearly two years of credit on the university or college course.
