The papers announce also a wonderful motor boatrace which is to include the circle of the island ofSicily, but I doubt if we shall see much of it, though Ithink it starts from the beautiful Villa Igiea, wherewe went the other day for tea. The drive out tothe hotel is attractive, and tea on the terrace, amidstflowers and perfumes, with the ever lovely view ofthe harbor of Palermo, is altogether enjoyable. The King and Queen aretravelHng supposedly incognito, and there will be nofestivities in their honor, but three British gunboatsin the harbor make the incognito reasonably Florio has placed his automobiles at the disposalof the Royal visitors. Queen Alexandra is looking asbeautiful as ever, and His Majesty is, as always,gracious, and both are interested in all interestingthings. It is very much warmer, and in spite of the manythings I have to do here, I have found time to discovera delightful French hat shop, and I missed you onmy hatting excursion. One would hardly think ofgoing to Palermo for French creations in hats, but Ireally found some lovely models, and feel much moreappropriate in my spring flowers than I should in hotfelts in this flowery island.
