Why grow the Snowflake and get from /o to lOo bushels per acre, worth in market at 50 cents per bushel, S38 to m per acre, when if Lees' Favorite, State of Maine, Perfect Gem, and quite a number of other kinds were planted, the crop would be from 200 to 300 bushels, worth 5100 to S150 per acre. This comparison might be carried to quite a number of varieties. We grew last season over bO varieties and kept a record of the time of ripening of tiie early varieties which we wi 1 give in the description. We discarded last spring about 20 varieties that were superceded bv better kinds, and pro- cured from different sources more than as many more, some of which are comparatively unfit for cultivation, others have done well and are really good varieties. \V e have a fine stock of all tlie be>it leading kinds which cannot fail to give satisfaction to our LEE'S FAVORITE, the new Extreme Early Potato.—This superior potato we sent out last spring in small quantities, saying : "We are proud to be able to offer to our friends a potato that combines more good qualities than any other early variety. Its extreme earli- ness, being a week or more earlier tlian Beauty of Hebron, and two weeks earlier than Early Rose, its parent, similar in form but distinct in color, unlike any other variety, being a light flesh color, shading to pink about the eyes, which are nearly even with the surface ; tubers uniformly good marketable size.
