Red-footed Tortoise Chelonoides (Geochelone) carbonaria. Adult male. Note dumbell, mid-carapace waisted, shape of carapace; indicative of sex and species. Native to much of northern South America. Here in Guyana. Found in drier transitional areas between forest and grassland savannah.
