Lieutenant William Fox captured this photograph on October 22, 1918, near Nantillois, Meuse, France. The image features the surviving members of Company C, 6th Infantry, after a successful drive. Approximately 50% of the company suffered casualties during the operation. The photograph was taken during World War I, and it was reviewed and approved by the Censor on December 24, 1918.
