Ornate Victorian border with Christian / Roman Catholic / figures. Includes Jesus, angels dispensing incense, a devil and more.
This full-page engraved border includes six figures - a patriarch (possibly Jesus) with a halo; winged angels, a barefoot devil at middle left, a crowned lady at lower left. The left side of the border is obviously much thinner than the right, leading to a strong page especially if text is justified inside and almost fills it. Reverse the border for right-to-left ( Hebrew or Arabic) use.
