An important silver-mounted splendid shashka with walrus ivory grip, Russian/Daghestanian, circa 1900 Single-edged blade with multiple fullers on both sides. The obverse etched with a Russian double-headed eagle and flower ornaments, the reverse with the Russian maker's mark "Arms Factory Osman Omarov" surmounted by a double-headed eagle. Walrus ivory grip with fine gold and silver inlays.
