Hal Safliéni Hypogeum Malta located in Paola, A prehistoric temple inscribed on the UNESCO world Heritage list
Underground Rock cut temple and burial site discovered accidentally in 1902 by a stone mason whom was laying the foundations for some houses. The Hypogeum consists of halls chambers and passages covering some 500 square metres. The complex grouped in three levels - the upper levels (3600 - 3300 BC), the middle level (3300-300 BC) and the lower level (3150-2500BC). The deepest room being metres under the road surface.
