Legion of Honor


The Legion of Honor, a French order established by Napoleon Bonaparte, is the highest decoration in France and is divided into five various degrees: Chevalier (Knight), Officier (Officer), Commandeur (Commander), Grand Officier (Grand Officer) and Grand'Croix (Grand Cross).
