The company has equipped over 200 roads•with its heaters, and has just closed a contract for the entire system ofthe north side of Chicago, and reports having three times as manyorders as at this time last year. The heaters on exhibition were con-nected up and shown in actual operation. The company was wellrepresented by Edward B. Wyman, manager, assisted by R. S. Jeromeand Sydney Hoch. The Fuel Economizer Co., of Matteawan, N. Y., was representedby B. Pearson. The company showed a case of specimen castings of. ONE FEATURE OF THE PENNSYLVANIA STEEL EXHIBIT. pipes for its economizers, each pipe tested up to 350 lbs. pressure persquare inch. The smoothness and perfection of these castings werecommented upon by every one familiar with this class of work. & Son, Manchester, England, the patentees of these econo-mizers, have been awarded gold medals at all the exhibitions since1851, including the Antwerp Exposition, where they were awardedthe gold medal and first honor. The St. Louis Register Co., of St. Louis, was ably representedby J. W. Allison, vice-president, and Gustav Rein, company had on exhibition a combination register for cars withan open and a closed compartment, such as are used in the extremeWest. Also a combination register for use on double deck cars, aregister that will record two fares, or a fare and a transfer, was anotherfeature of this exhibit.
