On his arrivalin England, he was assigned to laborin the Newcastle conference. He re-turned home Oct. 17, 1886. A yearlater (Jan. 8, 1888) he was appointedsuperintendent of the Herriman Sun-day school, which position he held elev-en years. May 10, 1899, he was setapart to fill a mission to the EasternStates.
