Statue of Jan Nepomucky (St John of Nepomuk), Charles Bridge, Prague, Czech Republic.
He was bound and thrown into the river Vltava in 1393 for supposedly for refusing to divulge a confession. Legend has it that he took a long time to sink and that five stars appeared around his head.
