The fire halfdried us, and then we had breakfast. The sky is blue, the sun is already melting the snow,no time must be lost. Pagels was sent to shoot aguanaco—Prince had not had anything to eat since weleft Lake Fagnano. Quensel and I walked to the passand down along the slopes of the new valley; the riverwe named Rio Rojas, after the admiral in Punta Arenas;it is the same river that discharges into Lake Acigaminear the Beagle Channel.
