Navy Band Southwest, based in San Diego, along with Sailors from USS Constitution, the Navy Parachute Team, 'The Leap Frogs', Navy Recruiting District San Antonio and Navy Operational Support Center-Waco are participating in Navy Week, April 2 - 8. Waco Navy Week brings Sailors from different units across the United States to conduct focused outreach events with members of the community in conjunction with the Heart of Texas Airshow featuring the Navy's flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, who are celebrating their 72nd anniversary of flying excellence. Waco Navy Week is the 2nd of 14 Navy weeks in 2018 that focus a variety of assets, equipment and personnel on a single city for a week-long series of engagements designed to bring America's Navy closer to the people it protects.
