The Intha fishermen of Inle Lake, Myanmar stand on one leg, paddle with the other and have both hands free to handle the net.

The traditional method of fishing by the Intha people of inle Lake, Myanmar, leaves both the fisherman's hands free to manoeuvre the large net-cage into the shallow water because he is able to stand on one leg and use the other, wrapped around the paddle, to drive the light, flat-bottomed boat through the water.
