Children of Mississippi National Guard Soldiers and Airmen enjoy snow cones to cool off Friday, June 30, 2017, at the 2017 Kids Annual Training at the Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, just South of Hattiesburg, Miss. Each child is assigned to a platoon during the week-long summer camp and learn to call cadence, march, and salute the flag to see a glimpse of what their parents experience on a day-to-day basis as members of the military. They also enjoy time at the pool, crafts, a field day, a robust fireworks display, and a foam party the night before graduation.
