Serferaz Khan marched out with his cavalry toKhamra, when he beared of Ali Verdi Khans advancethrough the defiles of Teliagarhi and Jagat Setts help, the Nawabs men had beensuborned and he found in his magazines bricks andclods in the place of cannon balls and powder. The Nawab superceded the men and gave Panchu^ ^^^Feringee, the son of Antony Feringee, the Portuguesephysician, the charge of his artillery. At Giria, the I attack began. The Nawab finished his prayer, tookup his Koran, and mounting his elephant, advancedtowards the enemy, when a bullet struck him in thehead and put an end to his NAWAB SERFERAZ KHAN.
