The Old Clock Tower in Dufftown Square Morayshire SCO 6140

Dufftown is a small market town in the heart of Speyside which takes its name from its founder James Duff, the fourth Earl of Fife. Dufftown is the central point on the whisky trail around the glens of Speyside. The town is the biggest exporter of whisky in Britain and there is plenty of evidence of the business with lots of distilleries around town, such as Glenfiddich, the largest of the lot. The Whisky Museum tells the story of the water of life, while the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, held twice a year, is a must for enthusiasts. Other than whisky, attractions include the Keith and Dufftown Railway, and Balvenie and Auchindoun Castles.
