Frondicidaria striga, sp. n. (Fig. 1.) Lateral outline of test subovate, acuminate; the oral endmore produced ; complanate, with the surface nearly even,but relieved by two strong riblets running vertically downthe middle of the test and covering the oral terminations of Frondicularia striga, sp. n. X 15. each chamber. The margins of the chambers not markedby very strong shell-thickening as in some species havingthe same general outline. Edge of the test slightly shell-surface under a high power aj)pears finely granu-lated or ripjjled. Length of ty])e specimen 19 milliin. ;breadth 1*4 millim.; thickness of edge *133 millim. This species appears to be quite distinct from any pre-viously figured. In outline it somewhat resembles ,Chapman *, but is not so regularly ovate^ and the suturalmargins of the chambers are not incurved towards tiie aboral* Journ. R. Micr.
