Palouse Falls was named the state waterfall in 2014, it lies on the Palouse River, about 4 mi upstream of the confluence with the Snake River in southeast Washington, United States. Photographer's tip, you have to turn left from parking lot and pass a gate to reach this view point, we didn't know this two years ago when we first time here and missed it. Also keep in mind that Palouse Falls, while magnificent, is also dangerous. In the last three years, four young men have died here – two just this spring. For now, the plan by state park officials is to put up temporary fencing along the viewing area
